In order to make our admissions process as transparent as possible we use the following criteria when deciding places:
a. Families living within the Hawthorns school catchment area with a current sibling.
b. Families living within the Hawthorns school catchment area with a previous sibling.
c. Families living within the Hawthorns school catchment area with no sibling.
d. Families living outside the Hawthorns school catchment area but within the Woosehill community with a current/previous sibling.
e. Families living outside the Hawthorns school catchment area but within the Woosehill community with no previous siblings.
f. Date application received.
As part of our funding agreement with the council, we endeavour to keep one spare place each session so that we are able to accommodate families who move to the area part-way through the term.
You may register your child with us at any time although we recommend that you do so as early as possible.Once we have received your application from and administration fee we will place your child on our waiting list and send you an acknowledgment letter. Our contact details can be found here.
We will contact you in the May prior to the September of the acedemic year in which your child is due to start to offer you a place. This will include details of the sessions we can offer. We are unable to guarantee specific sessions but will try to accomodate parental requests wherever possible.
The offer of a place for your child will be held for two weeks. If we haven't received confirmation of your acceptance by this time, we will offer the place to the next child on our waiting list. Unless there are extenuating circumstances, we will not refund your original administration fee.
Confirmation of your acceptance can only be made on receipt of the first half term fees. Details of our fees can be found here.
If your child's birthday falls in July or August you may defer your place until the following September if you wish to do so.
